David Newell is a Columbus-based comedy magician and variety show host known for his unhinged humor, eclectic magic, and undeniable stage presence. With over a decade of experience performing across the country, David has brought his signature style of magic and mischief to venues like the Chicago Magic Lounge, Wizbang Circus Theater, and Columbus’s world-famous P3 Magic Theater, where he is a resident performer.

David is the long-time host and MC of the Two Dollar Soup Variety Show, a beloved monthly event at Two Dollar Radio Headquarters featuring an ever-changing lineup of comedians, musicians, magicians, and more. The show has become a staple of the Columbus underground arts scene—known not just for its entertainment, but also its commitment to community, raising regular donations for the Mid-Ohio Food Collective.

In addition to his solo work, David is one half of David & Brayden, an internationally acclaimed comedy-magic duo celebrated for their offbeat humor, high-energy performances, and undeniable onstage chemistry.
